About me

Being a clinical psychologist wasn’t something I aspired to be as a child - I wanted to be an astronaut! Having worked a number of different jobs, I realised I liked working with people in a meaningful way. I was born and raised in Luton, and moved to Dorset to complete my Psychology degree and never left. I am glad for the life experiences I had, and to get into this field a little later as I often find this has helped within therapy.

I am passionate about helping individuals make sense of their experiences, understand the patterns that may be keeping them stuck, and develop practical, meaningful ways of moving forward.

I have over 14 years of experience working in various settings including across NHS services, universities, and private practice, supporting people with difficulties such as anxiety, low mood, stress, trauma, burnout, chronic pain, emotion dysregulation and challenges in self‑esteem. My approach is collaborative, evidence‑based, and grounded in creating a safe, reflective space where change can take root.

Alongside my clinical work, I lead on the Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Anxiety and Depression at the University of Southampton. I value integrating research with clinical practice, and my academic background helps me draw on the most up‑to‑date and effective psychological approaches.

I work with adults of 18 years plus, and aim to provide therapy that is compassionate, accessible, and tailored to each person’s unique needs and goals. Whether you are looking to understand yourself more deeply, develop new coping strategies, or navigate a difficult period in your life, my aim is to work with you at a pace that feels right for you.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, exploring outside and watching (my pretty rubbish) football team. I’m based in Southampton and Poole, and feel most at home when walking by the sea or spending time in nature.
